Why this Casserole belongs on your table

  • Quick and easy: You only need 10 minutes to throw this Casserole together. Perfect for busy mornings or lazy weekends.
  • The secret ingredient? Don’t skip the maple syrup, it’s the secret that takes this from great to great oh wow.
  • Holiday favorite: Perfect for Christmas morning or any holiday blog.

Ingredients you will need

  • Sarkfast Sausage: My favorite choice for this casserole! You can also substitute ham, crispy bacon, or leave out the meat for a vegetarian version.
  • Maple syrup: Pure maple syrup gives the best flavor and sweetness balance, but imitation syrup will work.
  • Vegetables (optional): Add 1-2 cups of colorful veggies like bell peppers, mushrooms, or onions for added flavor and color.

How to Make a Hawaiian Roll Breakfast Casserole

Ready to make the best breakfast? Honestly, this was done on Christmas morning. Cook everything and throw it in the oven when you wake up! Grab some extra Hawaiian rolls and make super easy Hawaiian cinnamon rolls!

  1. Cut the rolls: Preheat the oven to 375ºF and spray a 9 x 13-inch dish Dice the Hawaiian rolls into 1-inch cubes and place in the prepared baking dish.
  2. Add the sausage: Cook breakfast sausage in a large skillet over medium heat. Turn as you cook until pink remains, about 5-8 minutes. Spread the cooked sausage over the top of the dices roll.
  3. Add the cheese: Add the cheddar cheese on top of the sausage.
  4. Mix the egg mixture and bake: Whisk together the eggs, half and half, maple syrup, salt and pepper in a medium bowl. Pour over the cheese and sausage. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the eggs are completely cooked and the top is lightly browned. Serve warm.

Alyssa’s recipe tip

Do it ahead: Make a casserole the night before for an easy day! Just let rest at room temperature for 30-60 minutes before baking so it heats up evenly. If it’s slow, just add a few extra minutes to the baking time.
