Dipping or not to walk dry beans
This ham and the beans are used white white beans. Callers, easy to work with, and they are perfect for a long way to cook.
Dry beans Tip # 1: If dry beans you use is too old, they will not be soft and improve delicious amounts of cream, no matter how long. So check the end of a pocket of dry beans. By contrary to popular belief, it will not last forever and is usually used better within a year or so.
Dry beans Tip # 2: To enter dried beans in cool water all night in the recipe. While you can find many Internet sites and advice sites you do not need to bend dry beans before cooking, take my advice (and experience) after checking this whole Soup. The water beans are a very quick night, equally, and have a better text.

Ham Bone: I prefer to use the hambone left from a cut-cut ham. In fact, we have made this soup several times without using ham in another recipe first; I buy ham because of the soup just, cut my meat and save it, and use the ham bone to the soup. I try and leave a good meat amount in the bone so soup has a lot of ham when completed cooking. Differently, you can use 1 to 2 hocks
