These are the Best Brussels Sprouts I’ve Ever Made.
And that is the truth of the matter.
I’ve always looked for these brussels sprouts as my all-time favorite, and they still hold their place in my life.
But OH THESE ARE SO CUTE! How can anything compete with the roasted brussels sprouts that have been roasted and the bites of dried cranberries and covered in a brilliant sheen. gochujang garlic butter sauce?
There’s toasted sesame, brown sugar, butter, and a hit of spice? Garlic in butter brightens as soon as it hits a warm pan?? Can you hear this???
You know those store-bought shaved brussels sprouts — the ones that are almost small enough to make a salad, but (sadly) not? They are perfect here. A combination of shredded pieces and large pieces are perfect for quick roasting in the oven and dipping in gochujang butter sauce.
I’ve already put these on my Thanksgiving menu because, even though they have non-traditional Thanksgiving flavors like soy sauce and sesame oil and gochujang, I think they play well with everyone. They will raise the table and I am happy about it.
But don’t feel limited in the holiday food of this – if I make this for a weekday meal, with fried chicken or salmon, or – well / easily – a fried egg.
My girls love them. Bjork and I love them. Our entire video crew broke them down together after we filmed this recipe. I hope you make these.
